Cave moss
Cave Moss is a unique Food item in Fear & Hunger.
Acquirement
Cave Moss doesn't naturally come as loot anywhere in the game. The player has to grow it themselves from Small seeds in the farm patches found in the Cavedweller village.
Small Seeds Acquirement
Small seeds can be sometimes looted from a Lord of flies. They can always be stolen from a Lord of flies. To plant the seeds, the player has to simply interact with a farm patch in the Cavedweller village, with the Small seeds in their inventory. The plant will go through 3 stages of growth. The stages will progress if the player leaves and re-enters the village. (Only through the main 3 exits. Entering huts doesn't count.)
Due to how the growth is evented, you will never see the mid stage of growth ingame as the cave moss grows to its final stage after a single room exit.(Bug)

The player can first learn about the existence of Cave Moss from Alchemillia Vol. 1. There are patches of Cave moss in the Cavedweller village, albeit outside of the player's reach. Although there are a lot of green mossy growths all over the dungeon, none of them can be interacted with, and it's unknown if that background moss is the same as Cave moss.
