When found alive in Level 7 - Catacombs
If the player is D'arce or she is not in the party
- The man gets up.
- Now that you see him better, you realize his body has gone through an intense torture with different scars and marks filling out his skinny torso.
- His gaunt cheeks and distant eyes only strengthen the idea that this man has seen hell and survived it.
- Imprisoned man: "Ugh..."
- Imprisoned man: "Who-- What...?"
- Imprisoned man: "I can't remember a thing..."
- Player: "Do you remember who you are?"
- Le'garde: "... Ah..."
- Le'garde: "Le'garde... That's my name. I think."
- Player: "Are you okay?"
- Imprisoned man: "... I think I'm alright."
- Imprisoned man: "But it hurts... And I can't remember anything..."
- Imprisoned man: "Le'garde..."
- Le'garde: "That's my name. That much I remember."
- Le'garde: "I don't remember anything besides my name..."
- Le'garde: "I... I seem to have an amnesia."
- If Cahara is in the party
- Cahara: "Tch. Of course you got an amnesia..."
- If Ragnvaldr is in the party
- Ragnvaldr: "..."
- Ragnvaldr seems suspicious of Le'garde.
- Ragnvaldr: "It's not necessarily an amnesia per se. It could be possible for your mind to block recent traumatizing events."
- Le'garde: "Yeah, maybe you are right..."
- If Cahara is in the party
- You suspect that it's the trauma of the tortures this man has gone through that has erased his memories...
- If Girl is in the party
- Le'garde looks at the girl and seems to recognize her...
- The girl looks back at Le'garde.
- If Girl is in the party
- Le'garde: "I don't want to stay here, that much I know for certain."
- Le'garde: "... But I feel pretty weak... Do you think I could join your party for the time being?"
- Player: "Yes"
- If the player has room
- Le'garde joins your party.
- Le'garde: "It's an honor."
- If the player does not have room
- Le'garde: "Your party seems rather full already..."
- Le'garde: "I'll gather some strength here for a while. If you need me, do come back."
- If the player has room
- Player: "Sorry, not now."
- Le'garde: "Ah I see... Well I'll gather some strength here for a while. If you change your mind, please come back..."
- Player: "Yes"

- D'arce: "Le'garde! I'm so glad to see you...!"
- D'arce has trouble making out any words behind her flow of tears.
- Imprisoned man: "Le'garde...?"
- Le'garde: "Ah... I can't remember much, but yes, that is my name."
- D'arce: "You don't remember?"
- Le'garde: "I don't remember anything besides my name..."
- Le'garde: "I... I seem to have an amnesia."

- D'arce stays behind.
- If the player has room
- Player: "Sorry, not now."
- Le'garde: "Ah I see... Well I'll gather some strength here for a while. If you change your mind, please come back..."

- D'arce stays behind.
- Player: "Yes"
Low Mind
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "This area... seems safe enough."
- Le'garde: "I think I will have to rest for a moment..."
- Player: "Is something wrong?"
- Le'garde: "Oh it's just so intense here, isn't it?"
- Le'garde: "I really need to just sit down. It's exhausting and relentless..."
- Le'garde: "..."
- Player: "Don't give in. We really need to just keep going!"
- Le'garde: "...Yes... That's true."
- Le'garde: "Just what am I doing? You are completely right! Let's continue."
- Player: "You're losing your mind. Get a grip!"
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "No... that's not it..."
- Le'garde: "I'm already one with this darkness I'm afraid. Long before you came down here... I was in that cell for so long."
- If D'arce is not the party
- Le'garde: "I just need to collect my thoughts in peace..."
- If D'arce is in the party
- D'arce: "Le'garde..."
- D'arce: "I know you. You wouldn't give up your ambitions for anything."
- D'arce: "I... I don't know what happened to you in that cell, but I refuse to believe it would've changed you that drastically!"
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "I haven't heard truer words in a good while..."
- Le'garde: "Right."
- Le'garde: "This was enough of a break. Let's just continue."
- Le'garde: "Thank you D'arce."
- D'arce blushes.
- D'arce: "My pleasure, captain!"
- If D'arce is not the party
- Player: "Maybe you can rest for a while..."
- Le'garde: "Yes, if you don't mind..."
- Le'garde: "You can scout ahead. Don't mind me... I'll join you later."
- Player: "Don't give in. We really need to just keep going!"
- Player: "Yes, of course..."
- Player: "Pull yourself together! We can't rest here."
- If this is Le'garde's first low mind event
- Le'garde: "...Yes... you're right."
- Le'garde: "Just what am I doing? You are completely right! Let's continue."
- If Le'garde previously had a low mind event
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "I know my own limits. I only need a brief respite."
- Le'garde: "Do not worry. I will join you later..."
- If this is Le'garde's first low mind event
- Player: "Let's push just a little bit further..."
- If this is Le'garde's first low mind event
- Le'garde: "...Yes... you're right."
- Le'garde: "Just what am I doing? You are completely right! Let's continue."
- If Le'garde previously had a low mind event
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "Maybe you can check what's coming up ahead...? I'll just wait here for a bit..."
- If this is Le'garde's first low mind event
- Player: "If you are so eager to die here, go ahead."
- If this is Le'garde's first low mind event
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "There might be some truth to your words..."
- Le'garde: "Thank you for beating some sense to me." (Typo)
- Le'garde: "Let's just continue."
- If Le'garde previously had a low mind event
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "I have survived in these dungeons longer than you could ever dream to."
- Le'garde: "I believe i can afford to take a brief rest here."
- Le'garde: "I will joing you on a later occasion... You can continue ahead without me."
- If this is Le'garde's first low mind event
- Player: "Is something wrong?"
If he leaves the party
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "(Get up, get up) ... (This is not how it ends...)"
- Le'garde is muttering something on his own. He isn't looking good.
- Player: Give him a bottle of Ale
- Le'garde: "For me...?"
- Le'garde drinks up the ale.
- Player: Nevermind
- Player: Give him a bottle of Ale
After giving him an item
- Le'garde: "A moment of weakness..."
- Le'garde: "I'm sorry you had to see me that way..."
- Le'garde: "Thank you for your help. I must repay this one day... Remind me that I owe you one."
- If the player's party is full
- Le'garde: "Five is a crowd in these dungeons. Maybe scout ahead in that party? I'll wait here for a while."
- Le'garde: "Don't worry. I won't show such weakness anymore."
- If the player's party is full
If he dies
- He... seems dead.
- Player: Search him
- You take his Plate mail, Long sword, and her Eagle crest shield. (Typo)
- Player: Investigate
- There's no sign of anyone or anything attacking him. He does have an expression of terror on his face though.
- His hands seem to be grasping his chest... Was it a heart attack?
- Player: Leave
- Player: Search him
Show Love
- Le'garde: "Not gonna happen."
Dialogue in the dream at Tower of Endless
- D'arce: "They believe you're the one from the prophecies."
- Le'garde: "Hm. Those ancient texts are but child's word play..."
- Le'garde: "Of course that doesn't mean that I shouldn't use them to my advantage."
- D'arce: "..."
- D'arce: "But really, many things are scarily accurate in the prophecy."
- D'arce: "It talks about 'the fair haired man' and 'the one who rivals gods in both power and beauty'..."
- Le'garde: "Hah! I thought all the older gods were ugly as hell."
- Le'garde: "Don't tell me you buy that stuff too?"
- D'arce: "Nilvan of the new gods is supposedly beautiful. Just as the tormented one used to be..."
- D'arce: "The texts also speak 'He, who unites the warring states, not by the power of the golden staff, but by the power of dozen pitchforks'." (Typo)
- Le'garde: "Well all the kings hate me at this point, so that one line I can agree with..."
- Le'garde: "I WILL strive to unify these lands, be it in the prophecies or not."
- Le'garde: "No matter the cost."
- Le'garde: "But..."
- Le'garde: "I feel like I'm really close to achieving my goals, but the last step is not clear... It's still shrouded in the mist."
- Le'garde: "I'm not certain if this is 'the path' to achieve all this."
- D'arce: "What do you mean? You are just a step away from founding your own kingdom and becoming one of the most fabled rulers of our time!"
- D'arce: "You'd make a great ruler! I'm sure of it! Common people love you already!"
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: ("'I'm sure of it, she says...")
- Le'garde: ("What difference would it make anyway?")
- Le'garde: ("The history has proven time and time again that order, virtue and tranquility don't last.")
- Le'garde: ("I need something definite. Something pure.")
- Le'garde: ("I need to ascend above the kings and queens of our times.")
- Le'garde: ("The last step isn't shrouded in the mist. It's waiting in the depths of the darkness.")
- D'arce: "Le'garde... I need to ask what this campaign in the north is all about?"
- D'arce: "I don't quite understand the importance expanding our reign all the way over there..."
- D'arce: "Frankly... I'm afraid such campaign could have negative impact on your reputation." (Typo)
- Le'garde: "Thanks for your honest words D'arce..."
- Le'garde: "However my mind is set."
- Le'garde: "The campaign in the north is vital to my plans. They have something that belongs to me."
- D'arce: "Something that belongs to you? What are you talking about?"
- Le'garde: "I have to reach greater heights. This is the only way."
- D'arce: "..."
When attempting to sit on the throne in Golden Temple
If the player is D'arce or she is not in the party
- Le'garde: "This throne..."
- Le'garde: "This is the moment I've strived for... This is the moment I suffered for..."
- Player: "What do you mean?" / "You said you don't remember a thing?"
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "Yes..."
- Le'garde: "I guess there is no hiding it anymore."
- Le'garde: "I guess there is no hiding it anymore."
- Le'garde: "I arranged my own imprisonment here. I arranged my own death sentenced. I arranged my own suffering."
- Player: "Why would you do something like that?"
- Le'garde: "In order to reach greater heights, to unify the land, to bring upon the new era..."
- Le'garde: "I need this power. The strength of kings and queens is not enough. I need more."
- Le'garde: "Something that lasts beyond me."
- Player: "You think you can achieve all that? Here?"
- Le'garde: "This place is the only place where I can achieve such grand goals."
- Le'garde: "None of the grand kingdoms history books speak of stand on pure foundations."
- Le'garde: "They were all built on bloodshed and violence."
- Le'garde: "But what if there was a way that wouldn't require thousands of soldiers on opposing sides shedding their lives?"
- Le'garde: "What if such grand kingdom only required one soul to succumb to the darkness. Only one soul to be tainted."
- If Cahara is in the party
- Cahara: "That's one flawed logic you got there Le'garde."
- Cahara: "The reason all those kingdoms in the past crumbled down was not because of the lack of power or whatever, but because of that very same twisted logic you got!"
- Cahara: "Ends don't justify the means."
- Le'garde: "What does a lowly thief like you know!?"
- Le'garde: "I have not suffered through all the horrors just to back down now."
- Le'garde: "This moment is what the prophecies talk about."
- Le'garde: "I am going to ascend higher!"
- If Nas'hrah is in the party
- Nas'hrah: "You ridiculous self-indulging maggot!"
- Nas'hrah: "What are you even going to do with the power of the new gods? Are you too trying to push a new world order?"
- Nas'hrah: "An order, where the cruelties of the older gods would only be a passage in the history books?"
- Nas'hrah: "You fool! That is not the part of the new gods!"
- Nas'hrah: "New gods in fact are just a creation of the rules of the old. They are there to guide mankind like a cattle to the slaughtering grounds."
- Nas'hrah: "I'm sick and tired of hearing about the 'old world order' and the 'new world order'..."
- Nas'hrah: "'Order' this and 'order' that. The mankind is NOT MEANT FOR AN ORDER!"
- Nas'hrah: "OUR PLACE IS IN CHAOS!"
- Nas'hrah: "Humans originate from chaos. It's one in a billion coincidence that we even exist, why would you try to control our existance and put it under an 'order'!?" (Typo)
- Nas'hrah: "For mankind to truly be free from the reign of the older gods, we must strive for chaos!"
- Le'garde: "..."
- Nas'hrah: "What the matter little bastard-baby!?"
- Nas'hrah: "Did I just crush your miserable world view and beliefs!?"
- Le'garde: "...Just shut up..."
- Le'garde: "Just shut up."
- Le'garde: "Just SHUT UP!"
- If Cahara is in the party
- Player: "I understand."
- Le'garde: "Ha! You do?"
- Le'garde: "I seriously doubt that, but you can bow to me on the other side in that case."
- Player: "You think you can achieve all that? Here?"
- Player: "You are crazy."
- Le'garde: "Haha, maybe. Only time will tell."
- Le'garde: "But I have my reasons. There is no use explaining them here."
- Player: "Why would you do something like that?"
- Player: "What do you mean?" / "You said you don't remember a thing?"
- Le'garde: "..."
If D'arce is in the party
- Le'garde: "This throne..."
- Le'garde: "This is the moment I've strived for... This is the moment I suffered for..."
- D'arce: "Le'garde... What do you mean?"
- D'arce: "You said before... You couldn't remember...?"
- Le'garde: "..."
- Le'garde: "D'arce..."
- Le'garde: "You remember our talk about 'the path'?"
- Le'garde: "You might not understand this yet, but this is it. 'The path'."
- D'arce: "I-I thought you... You said you couldn't remember anything?"
- Le'garde: "In order to reach greater heights, to unify the land, to bring upon the new era..."
- Le'garde: "I need this power. The strength of kings and queens is not enough. I need more."
- Le'garde: "Something that lasts beyond me."
- D'arce: "Why would you look for power and justice in a place like this?"
- D'arce: "Such pure virtues don't exist here. This place taints everything it touches..."
- Le'garde: "Do you think any of the grand kingdoms history books speak of stand on pure foundations?"
- D'arce: "...can anything so grand be built on rotten foundations...?"
