Caligura + Marcoh special interaction

I added a passage on the special event between (player character) Marcoh and Caligura to the "Trivia" section, which I believed to be the proper place for such a thing as it is not directly related to gameplay or game mechanics.

The full original addition is as follows:

"* During the special event in which Caligura appears when the player tries to sleep as Marcoh, he will recognize Marcoh and accuse him of being sent by the Accardo branch of The Family. If the player chooses to deny understanding Caligura's accusations, he will then reaffirm that he knows Marcoh as one of the Accardos' men and had one of his own men killed for "dallying with" Marcoh. He will also call Marcoh a homophobic slur. Regardless of the implications on Marcoh's sexuality, this shows that Caligura does not take kindly to perceived disloyalty or gay people.[1]"

When this revision was reverted, I was told that this was "only speculation" despite my inclusion of a primary source citation (footage from the game itself and not a tweet). The majority of the passage simply describes what Caligura says in the scene. I am not here to get involved in a discussion about Marcoh's sexuality, and I am aware that some clarification on stuff has been promised in the future. I added "regardless of the implications on Marcoh's sexuality" to steer away from that discussion and focus on what the scene says about Caligura because this is his page. Ultimately, whatever will come of that topic does not affect the fact that Caligura killed one of his men for fraternizing with the enemy ("does not take kindly to perceived disloyalty") and used a homophobic slur to insult someone ("does not take too kindly to... gay people"). I disagree that those statements are speculation because they are backed up by source material. However, I could add something like "he implies that he had one of his own men kill" if this is still too strong.

Is the concern that the scene will change entirely with the next update? If so, does this wiki have any way to document and preserve differences between versions of the game? If not, where then would it be appropriate to include information from older versions of the game (including the demo)? -BlackOrbPonderer 01:10, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
