The Body snatcher is an enemy encountered in Fear & Hunger.

Lore

"The wretched being was locked behind the sealed door when he was looting the dungeon from valuables. He turned on the god of the depths for salvation..."
- The New Gods when asked about the Body snatcher.

The Body snatcher used to be a grave robber who got sealed in one of the tombs of the dungeons of Fear & Hunger. In desperation, he turned to the God of the Depths for salvation. In response, he became a wretched insect-like creature, now lumbering through the abandoned halls of Ma'habre in search of fresh bodies.

Location

The Body snatcher can be found in multiple places in the game, the most occurring one being the Tombs of the Gods. He will stand back at first, shooting poisonous darts at the player, and will run forward to engage when the player approaches him.

Skills
Body Part Skill Effect Condition Chance Success Rate
Torso Tackle Deals 16-24 Blunt damage. All arms cut, head not weak 100% 100%
Left Arm 2 Toxic Dart Deals 20-30 Piercing damage, causes Toxic. Always 100% 95%
Right Arm 1 Paralysis Dart Deals 20-30 Piercing damage, causes Paralyzed. Always 100% 95%
Right Arm 2 Critical Slash Deals 29-41 Slashing damage, can cause Critical state and Arm infection, and causes Bleeding. Always 100% 100%

Strategy

The player should always take out his first right arm as it will paralyze, then get rid of his other right arm as it can inflict critical state, bleeding and arm infections. Then, the player should get rid of his second left arm as it will shoot toxic darts and leave the first left arm as it does nothing. The player can then just go for the torso to finish him off.

It is recommended to have a white vial and at least 2 party members to take out both right arms on the first turn. The player should not destroy every arm and keep the first left arm to avoid being tackled each turn.
