Knight spectre
The Knight spectre is a unique spectral enemy encountered in Fear & Hunger.
Lore
The Knight spectre is the true form of the Old Knight, who was on a path to the darkness of the dungeons. He met the alchemist Nosramus on his way down, who saved his life. The old knight then decided to serve Nosramus for his lifetime and beyond.
Location and behaviour
The Knight spectre can be found patrolling the mine shafts on level 5. They will walk towards the player if they see them, and will instantly attack the player if they attempt to enter Nosramus' laboratory. The Knight spectre is tied to the Armored Knight found at the end of the leftmost path here and will accompany him in battle if the player cannot defeat the Armored Knight in two turns.

Strategy
As a spectral enemy it can only be harmed through status effects, otherworldly magic or otherworldly attacks. The Knight spectre has a 2/3 chance of using Vertical sweep and 1/3 chance of using Horizontal sweep, both of which will dismember a limb and can cause infections.
It is advised to avoid this enemy as much as possible in the overworld and run when he is encountered. Running away from the Knight spectre during combat is guaranteed.
He also appears later in the Old Knight fight after the next turn, it's better to focus defeating the Old Knight as defeating him also defeats his spectre too, and the Knight spectre has 10000 HP which makes defeating it very long and tedious.

Trivia
- If the Knight spectre is defeated when fought alone, not only will it still appear during the Old Knight fight, but you will still not be able to enter Nosramus' laboratory until you defeat the Old Knight.
