• Mercenary: "Oh hey. You got me out of here! I'm Cahara of the South, a mercenary at your service."
  • Player: "What are you doing here?"
    • Cahara: "Wwell.... I do have a mission here, but let's save that story for another day, yeah?"
  • Player: "Why were you imprisoned here?"
    • Cahara: "... I was caught by one of those malformed prison guards... ..." Your conversation took an awkward turn for some reason...
    • Cahara: "Uhh... I'm feeling kind of weak after being left here for ages... Would you mind if we traveled together for awhile?"
  • Player: "Good idea."
    • Cahara: "Great! Let's do this!"
  • Player: "No."
    • Cahara: "No?? Eeh, fine. I guess I'll manage on my own then. Don't let the dungeon have it's way with you. Bye."

When found in Level 5 Mines

• Cahara: "Oh! Hey! Great to see you alive!
  • Player: "Great to see you well too!"
    • Cahara: "... Hey yeah! I definitely don't want to dwell these nighmarish dungeons alone! I'll stick with you guys for sure!"
  • Player: "You tricked me!"
    • Cahara: "... There's no avoiding it I guess."

In combat

• Cahara: "Prepare yourself!"
  • Player: "What is your purpose?"
    • Cahara: "What is anyone's purpose? I'd like to believe that we all have a purpose on earth... But frankly, I just want to survive, okay?"
  • Player: "Wait. We don't have to fight!"
    • Cahara: "Hey it was not me who started all this!"
  • Player: "Please don't!"
    • Cahara: "Don't make me feel sorry for you! I'm a cold hearted assassin after all you know?"
  • Player: "Prepare to die."
    • Cahara: "Always."

• If you try to Steal from Cahara:
  • Cahara: "Trying to steal from a Thief, huh?" Cahara smirks at you with a smug-like grin.

Low Mind

Cahara is counting his silver coins in a nervous manner…

Cahara’s eyes are darting around in paranoia. He seems to be losing it…

• Cahara: “Listen… I… I can’t go on anymore. I need a break from all this…”
  • Player: "Is something wrong?”
    • Cahara: “To be fully honest… This darkness. It’s getting to me. I see familiar faces in the darkness… Real ghosts of the past. I know they couldn’t possibly be there, but still… Their voices are calling me… They are saying I belong here.”
      • Player: "Don’t give in. We really need to just keep going!”
        • Cahara: “Yeah… yeah… You’re right. Let’s just keep on going…”
      • Player: "You’re losing your mind. Get a grip!”
        • Cahara: “No shit. I know it’s not real. But that doesn’t exclude the fact that I need to– I really need to sit down for a while… What I don’t need is someone bossing me around.”
      • Player: "Maybe you can rest for a while…”
        • Cahara: “Yeah… Just let me sit down for a bit…”
  • Player: "Yes, of course…”
  • Player: "Pull yourself together! We can’t rest here.”
    • Cahara: “… I get what you’re saying… But I really don’t need anyone telling me what to do. You do what you see best, but I’m going to sit down here for a moment…”
  • Player: "Let’s push just a little bit further…”
    • Cahara: “You’re right. Since when did I become such a scaredy-cat? Let’s just do this!”
  • Player: "If you are so eager to die here, go ahead.”
    • Cahara: “Wow… I didn’t realize you were such an asshole. Maybe it’s better that you just do you and I do what I see best. It’s what’s kept me alive this long.”

If D'arce is in the party

• D’arce: “Cahara… We need your sword. Don’t give in to the fear. I can tell your life hasn’t been the easiest. You haven’t given in to the fear before. Why start now?”
• Cahara: “Geee… You’re really going for my weakness… I can’t say no to pretty eyes, now can I? Fine dollface. Let’s try this one more time…”
• D’arce gives Cahara a cautious smile.

If Ragnvaldr is in the party

• Ragnvaldr: “Cahara don’t be a fool. You’ll end up as troll dinner in these tunnels alone. I know you are better than this. Let’s continue together.”
• Cahara: “... Yeah, yeah… you got me… Fine. Let’s try this one more time…”
• Ragnvaldr: “That’s the spirit!”

If he leaves the party

• Cahara: "... Just let me be for a while..." Cahara is looking very grim
  • Give him a bottle of Ale
    • Cahara: "Oh..." Cahara drinks up the ale.
    • Cahara: "That helped a lot. Thanks... I don't know what got into me. Let's just pretend that never happened."

• Cahara: "I never seriously contemplated on the idea of suicide… I always figured that you could just start your life over in a new part of the world. Just leave all the dirt and past sins behind. I’ve done so. Many times before… but these dungeons man… The anxiety and oppressiveness are slowly eating away my stature. They are suffocating me. I just can’t see the light of hope anywhere. Death would be a simple answer…"
  • Player: "Let’s travel together."
    • Cahara: "I… I don’t want to go on anymore… Let me just look at this void for a little while."

If you walk around for awhile and return

• Cahara: "Hey! I’m tired of all this doom and gloom! Let’s do this! Let’s die while trying. Yeah!? ‘Die while trying’...? Eeh, what’s wrong with you? Oh plenty. But we need to get out of here and find a boudoir for me to explain better. Hah. Fair enough."

When found as a New God in the Void

• ???: "[Player]... You remember the moment we got our freedom for the first time? That is the feeling we've been striving for ever since. Leave your burdens behind. Leave your body behind. Let me continue our flow with the wind."
• A new god greets you.
• New god: "The only place where I can truly be free, are my dreams. In the vast open plains of this netherworld, I hold no burden over the worries of my past life. Of course this is a flawed logic... One should not bind oneself to a set location, one should be able to wander the world like a wind. But even gods are allowed to have flaws, no?"

  • Player: "No idea..."
