First Encounter

• You notice a person kneeling in the darkness...
• The person doesn't seem to radiate immediate danger or aggression and your presence seems to remain hidden...
• Player: Wait for the person to walk away
  • ...
• Player: Show yourself
  • You step out of the shadows...
  • Nosramus: "Oh... New visitors?"
  • Nosramus: "My name is Nosramus. I'm an alchemist living down here. Pleased to meet you."
  • You cannot quite tell if the alchemist is a woman or a man. Something about his stature seems almost otherwordly or ancient...
    • Player: "Nice to meet you too."
      • The white-haired alchemist gives you a smile that seems almost too genuine.
    • Player: Stay cautious and say nothing
      • The white haired alchemist seems to measure you with squinty eyes...
    • Nosramus: "My apologies, I left a kettle on and I'm in a bit of a hurry. Let's meet again!"
• The person disappeared into the darkness. The echoes of his footsteps sound distant before vanishing completely into the thin moist air.

When found in his first laboratory in the Level 5 Mines

If the player has not met him yet

• Nosramus: "Oh...? You seem to have gotten through my servant."
• Nosramus: "It's good to see you well."
• Nosramus: "Oh... We haven't met before, have we?"
• Nosramus: "My name is Nosramus. I'm an alchemist living down here. Pleased to meet you."

Standard dialogue

• Nosramus: "Oh you are the one creeping in the shadows earlier."
• Nosramus: "My apologies."
• Nosramus: "Having to resort to brute force like that... My studies here are hundreds of years of old you see, and I cannot let just anyone pass down here."
  • Player: "I'm looking for a person..."
    • Nosramus: "Right. I think I know who you mean..."
    • Nosramus: "I don't meddle with anything that happens in the upper floors, but I think the person you are looking for is located in the dungeons just a few floors down."
    • Nosramus: "I'd hurry if I was you. He seems to be an incredible person, but his time is running short..."
  • Player: "How long have you been here?"
    • Nosramus: "Oh, I've been here for so long..."
    • Nosramus: "Feels like an eternity haha!"
  • Playewr: "What are you studying?"
    • Nosramus: "My studies? I study all fields of knowledge, just like all scientists should."
    • Nosramus: "My studies have taught me much about blood magic, deities, gods and other such obvious subjects."
    • Nosramus: "At the moment I'm the most interested in nature and the heartbeat of the earth."
    • Nosramus: "People in this age don't notice that nature is being lost and that they're heading for extinction."
    • Nosramus: "That is one reason I stepped down to this darkness. There is still a primal rule of the nature very much alive here."
  • Player: "Why are you staying here?"
    • Nosramus: "Why? What a silly question haha."
    • Nosramus: "This place is actually very crucial to my studies. In all of my years, I have not found a place where you could still feel the presence of the gods so vividly as here."
    • Nosramus: "As far as the inconveniece of having a laboratory underground..."
    • Nosramus: "Well people are suckers for convinience. They think the more convenient - the better, and the end up throwing away what's truly good."
    • Nosramus: "Limitations force creativivity."
  • Player: "How do you stay sane in this darkness?"
    • Nosramus: "It's supposed to be dark here."
    • Nosramus: "We'd be in trouble if these dungeons were as bright as day haha!"
  • Player: Are you all alone down here?"
    • Nosramus: "Well I did have a servant with me. Still a moment ago."
    • Nosramus: "But you took care of him... Him-- you noticed it was a he, didn't you? haha!"
    • Nosramus: "He was no one anymore. He was but a soul binded to an armor."
• Nosramus: "I would appreciate some working peace, if you don't mind."
• Nosramus: "What is it?"
• Nosramus: "I have nothing to say to you anymore."

When found in his second laboratory in the Level 5 Mines

Standard dialogue

• Nosramus: "Oh, hello again."
• Nosramus: "You got the doors to the ancient city open it seems…"
  • Player: "What is the ancient city?"
    • Nosramus: "The ancient city is what remains of the city of the gods, Ma’habre."
    • Nosramus: "The presence of the gods is fading. Even the presence of the new gods is questionable."
    • Nosramus: "It was always just a matter of time."
      • Player: "What do you know about the new gods?"
        • Nosramus: "They have gotten to their position to rebel the old gods and the old world order."
        • Nosramus: "But they are barking at the wrong tree."
        • Nosramus: "How can the older gods be responsible, if they haven’t been around for millenias? If they ever even existed?"
        • Nosramus: "The truth is - the new gods come and go."
        • Nosramus: "They are the reason for the misery and the terrible shape mankind has been for hundreds of years."
        • Nosramus: "Humans should blame themselves."
        • Nosramus: "Humans should take responsibility of themselves."
      • Player: "You seem to know a lot..."
        • Nosramus: "I guess so haha."
        • Nosramus: "Hundreds of years here, in the darkness, with nothing else to but study and read has its benefits."
        • Nosramus: "..."
        • Nosramus seems suspicious. It seems like he isn't telling the full truth.

If Le'garde was found dead

• Player: "Le'garde..."
  • Nosramus: "Right, that man... He sure was an interesting person."
  • Nosramus: "His fame overground reached even these dark dungeons and I followed the treatment he got here closely as well.
  • Nosramus: "Not that I’m a part of the whole torturing-imprisonment deal going on here these days haha."
  • Nosramus: "I was just observing events from the shadows."
  • Nosramus: "Did you know that he planned his imprisonment?"
  • Nosramus: "Everything that lead him to getting caught, taken down to this darkness and even the torture he experienced down here…"
  • Nosramus: "It was all part of his plan."
  • Nosramus: "This dungeon…"
  • Nosramus: "It’s a special place. There’s no other place in the western world where you could get as close to the gods as here."
  • Nosramus: "Like many before him, he wanted to use the power that dwells here…"
  • Nosramus: "But he knew more…"
  • Nosramus: "He already achieved the state of dominance overground. He achieved enlightenment with the cube he brought here with him…"
  • Nosramus: "His dreams would soar endlessly with the new goddess visiting him in his dreams every night."
  • Nosramus: "And finally, the darkness and the torture he experienced here would rival that of the gods."
  • Nosramus: "He got all the keys to become something greater."
  • Nosramus: Not that it would necessarily be the right path for him, but it did make for an interesting event to unfold…""

After Defeating Valteil in Enki's S Ending

• Nosramus: "..."
• Nosramus: "I take it that you talked to Valteil."
• Nosramus: "How is he these days?"
  • Player: "He's hanging on a rope and waiting to rot."
  • Player: "He seems to be regretting his past actions…"
• Nosramus: "Hooo. Is that so?"
• Nosramus: "That's a first one. He takes a lot of credit in knowledge and I have yet to see him admit his mistakes."
• Nosramus: "..."
• Nosramus: "Ah, I don't want to be stuck in nostalgia. Sorry about my absent mind!"
  • Player: "He said you were on the path to enlightenment…"
  • Player: "He did mention that you were on a correct path…"
• Nosramus: "Too bad I wasn't there to hear that."
• Nosramus: "Really out-of-character for him to say that."
• Nosramus: "He believed ascension was the key. That he could somehow achieve enlightenment with a snap of fingers."
• Nosramus: "That was a ridiculous idea. I cannot understand how a scholar like him could believe there was such an easy way."
• Nosramus: "The thing is..."
• Nosramus: "There is no end in the path to enlightenment."
• Nosramus: "New information, new forms of science, new people, new worlds... the knowledge of the world keeps on increasing."
• Nosramus: "How could you settle down thinking you are the end of it all?"
• Nosramus: "If you are on a path of enlightenment... Seek all knowledge."
• Nosramus: "Even the knowledge of the new gods. I wholeheartedly recommend that you sit on that Golden throne and meet your reflection."
• Nosramus: "But if you truly are a scholar of sciences - only observe. Do not surrender yourself to the lust of power."
• Nosramus: "I know it is not an easy task. So that's why you can have this…"
• Nosramus: "That should keep you grounded haha."
  • Player: "Why help me?"
    • Nosramus: "It's clearly an end of an era. So I'm giving a little helping hand to the new generation…"
  • Player: "Thank you."
    • Nosramus: "You're welcome."

In the Catacombs after finding Le'garde dead

• Nosramus: "Oh... It's you."
• Nosramus: "He has passed away, hasn't he?"
• Nosramus: "Hm... I thought he would've had a bigger role in the greater scheme of things, but alas..."
• Nosramus: "Of course, him passing away doesn't mean that what he started should come to an end."
• Nosramus: "After all, you came to these dungeons because of him, right?"
• Nosramus: "The seed of what he planted, continues to grow and branch..."
• Nosramus: "If you can continue your descent into the darkness, you can understand what I'm talking about."
• Nosramus: "Head down and just maybe his death won't be in vain."
• Nosramus: "There's certainly a bunch of interesting people gathered here today..."
• Nosramus: "Haha, well that's my two cents anyway. Take from it what you want."
• Nosramus: "Bye~"
