Trivia

• Pep Pills bear a resemblance to Pervitin, a prescription version of methamphetamine used by Nazi soldiers during World War 2. Pervitin was mainly used to increase the performance and stamina of soldiers, allowing them to march for longer periods of time without exhaustion, but the side effects were similar to a hangover. Its medical and narcotic origins explain why Daan and Marcoh can be in possession of Pep Pills as part of their character history.
• Despite alluding to withdrawal symptoms, using pep pills results in no adverse effects.
