There are three categories of skills in Fear & Hunger 2: Termina:
- Contestant skills are skills possessed by each of the 14 contestants, requiring their soul to access. The player must be the one to kill the contestant to get their soul.
- God Affinity skills are skills that require affinity with each of the 6 gods. The player must draw on ritual circles, gain affinity in their character's intro or use Samarie's skills to increase their affinity with the gods.
- New Game Plus are skills that require completing an ending to unlock in the hexen. Each ending unlocks a different New Game Plus skill, some of which require playing in Masoχ-S/M mode.
To learn a new skill, the player needs to access the Hexen, either through sleeping or a Tes'tich table. Each skill costs one Soul stone and some skills can be taught to party members.
Upon learning a skill, it's slot in the hexen is filled and can only be used to access the next skill in the skill tree.
