It is implied that Karin's Moonscorched form is inspired by the concept of guilt. Her profession profits from wartime, which could make her feel like a vulture preying on the corpses of young soldiers, a viewpoint shared by many commonfolk. However, Karin also tries to rationalize her work as a way of honoring the fallen, similar to the role of a valkyrie. As a result, her Moonscorched form could be a fusion of both the vulture and the valkyrie, reflecting her conflicting feelings about her career.
Note: HP in parenthesis is only used for Damage-over-Time calculations.
Inflicting the torso with Blindness 1 does not make Blindness 2 apply to the rest of the body, so the player should use Black smog or throw Glass shards directly at her claws and the Bellends.

All of Valkyrie's attacks ignore guarding, so you must not guard in that fight, instead you need to kill it as fast as possible by attacking the torso and throwing Condensed hemlock on it, to survive the battle until the hemlock kills her you need Ghouls or Blood golem to tank her hits for you, she can deal a massive amount of damage so you must get armor with great slashing and piercing resistances, like the Fluted armor, the Bremen chestplate or the Chainmail dress, the Ballistic shield will help a lot too although it is a completely random drop.
The same strategy for Fear & Hunger Mode applies, although it is important to point out that you will be taking 50% more damage from her in this mode, so it is even more important to fight her once you have great defensive armor and accessories like Fluted armor, bremen chestplate, Ballistic shield, One-winged necklace or Guardian cameo.

“The body of the valkyrie feels very muscular and tense even after its death.”
“The creature seems to have a mixture of human and bird physique. The fusion looks so perfect that you cannot tell which is the point of origin in its transformation. You suspect the creature used to a human originally, just based on the monstrosities you've seen in the area so far. Upon closer inspection, the armor on the creature looks organic. It's exoskeleton-like growth. It's very hard and sturdy.”
Valkyrie's design was initially made for VaatiVidya'sart competition with intentions of later using it in Termina development. The name of the entry was "Val'eatar".
