"May Alll-mer be my judge"

The Inquisitor is an Enemy encountered in Fear & Hunger 2: Termina.

Lore

A figure bound to religion, now tainted by Moonscorch, the Inquisitor now wanders through the alleys of Prehevil. Driven by his beliefs, he assaults those he deems infidels in the name of Alll-mer: relying on his religious role, he takes upon himself the dual role of executioner and judge. It appears he knows to some extent about the activities of the Sulfur God's cult in Prehevil.

Strategy

Fear & Hunger Mode

Though the Inquisitor is slow and does not deal heavy damage, his attacks are still highly dangerous. He uses his bell arm to summon a Bobby, a foe which can attack for moderate damage two times in one turn. The bell arm can be easily cut off, but his torso can cast either cast Hurting (which removes characters' limbs) or Black smog (which can permanently blind the character it is cast on). It is therefore recommended to avoid him altogether unless one is prepared for the fight.

Dialogues

Battle start

  • Inquisitor: “Alll-mer be my judge, I will be the executioner and the jury!”

Talk

  • Inquisitor: “Infidel! Infidel! Bow your head in shame!”
    • Player: [PERSUADE] “Instead of condemning, why not educate me instead?”
      • Inquisitor: “The will of Alll-mer knows no mercy! Infidels will be cut down without a chance for redemption!”
        • Player: “Sounds like a harsh ideology...”
          • Inquisitor: “Control with fear! Lead with violence!”
        • Player: “Alll-mer? How come the town is ravaged by the Rher's will then?”
          • Inquisitor: “Nonsense! Infidel! Infidel! Enough with your lies and deceit!”
            • Player: “We got a hypocrite. You are clearly twisted by the moonlight.”
              • Inquisitor: “The origin of deceit, the sulfuric pits - You are just trying to plant a seed of doubt in my head!” And you were successful in planting the said seed. The inquisitor is wavering in his attacks. (+Attack drop)
            • Player: “Surely you see what has happened around you?”
              • Inquisitor: “Infidel! Infidel! Infidel! Off with your head!”
            • Player: “...”
      • If repeated:
      • Inquisitor: “Surrender yourself to the will of the gods!”
    • Player: [INTIMIDATE] “You'll get to meet your maker soon enough.”
      • Inquisitor: “I am ready if so be it! ” Your intimidation efforts didn't seem to have effect.
    • Player: “I will correct my ways if you just let me!”
      • Inquisitor: “Surrender yourself to the will of the gods!”
    • Player: “How am I an infidel?”
      • Inquisitor: “Do not look down upon your leading gods! Do not even consider reaching the veil hiding the greater truth!”
    • Player: “I got more pressing issues than listening you.”
      • Inquisitor: “No mercy for the weak! The weak shall perish!”
    • Player: Nevermind

“This creature is but a sack of dried up skin that feels oily and viscous. The only thing that feels solid and firm is its head. The soft body seem resilient against otherwordly powers and fire, but all physical attacks seem effective.”
