Ronteal is an Enemy encountered in Fear & Hunger 2: Termina.
Lore
An enigmatic entity with a hollow form, dwelling within the shadows and bearing no resemblance to any earthly life. Myths of Ronteal have traversed countless generations, each tale different from the other. Legend has it that Ronteal emerges initially within the realm of nightmares, using the fear it evokes to manifest its presence in the physical world. Both male and female incarnations of Ronteal are said to exist, even though all the ones encountered in Prehevil are female.

Strategy
Fear & Hunger Mode
Ronteals initially appear buried up to their necks in dirt with only their mouth heads exposed, looking similar to a venus flytrap. If the player approaches, the Ronteal will crawl out of its hole and give chase.
The Ronteal is an enemy that is not worth fighting early because they can deal massive damage early game with both arms and their mouth, they can also remove limbs, while the chance for them to remove limbs is not guaranteed its still not worth taking the risk, so the best way to deal with them is to shoot them in the overworld seeing that they have low overworld hp and can die to 5 pistol shots.
Some Ronteals will not have arms, those ones are much easier to deal with because they can only attack with a weak Bite attack and Tackle , so its worth fighting them to saw off their head and to take the Rust-coloured pearl from their hole. You can kill them easily by just attacking the torso.
If you decided to fight the Ronteals with arms, then its best to use any piercing weapon to take out the arms in 1 attack , then just attack the torso while Revving up, keep in mind that destroying one of the mouths will not kill the Ronteal, you need to destroy both mouths for them to die.
Masoχ-S/M Mode
In Masoχ-S/M Mode, its not worth fighting the Ronteals even more than Fear and hunger mode, the amount of damage they can deal is massive and the amount of damage that you deal will not be enough to kill them without losing a couple of limbs and a lot of hp, so its best to just shoot them in the overworld.
If they did catch you then you should just Run from them.
even a Murky vial cannot destroy their mouths in Masoχ-S/M Mode, a Pipe bomb will kill them 100% of the time but its a very hard item to obtain.

Player: “The creature's body seems almost hollow. Parts of it sink in with the last breaths the creature takes. The surface of the creature is crisp almost like it burned long time ago and then remoisturized over time. Nothing suggests that this creature would have ever been a human are any known animal. The creature seems vulnerable to most physical attacks. Only blunt attacks might just sink in with the physique of the creature and thus not cause any real damage.”
If Daan is in the party: “The creature's body feels hollow. It feels like a half-empty bag of potatos, with the potatos halfway through decomposing. It even smells like that. Trivia
- Ronteal's design and name were originally created by Fear & Hunger Discord user Chester.
- Chester's original design lacked both the female features and the pendulum blade arms, but if one cuts off the arms of a Ronteal, the stubbier blades from Chester's design are revealed.
- One of the Ronteals in the Mayor's Manor (Rher Dimension) gives the option to Skin her instead of Harvest her organs. (Bug)
- Once you prompt a Ronteal to emerge from its burrow and then depart from the area, the burrow will no longer be interactable, preventing you from collecting a rust-colored pearl thereafter. (Bug)
