The Lady of moon is a non-playable character encountered Fear & Hunger. She is not hostile towards the player and their party despite entering into battle against them.

The Lady of moon is a servant to the Old God Rher, which at the time of the game's events is said to be one of the few left who is still observing humanity. Her means of communication involve telepathy. She claims her origin within the green hue, a realm where the world is perceived through the lens of a green-looking glass. Like her God, she too, disagrees with humanity having the same rights as the true Old Gods, as she believes they do not deserve it. However, despite these kinds of hostile feelings and thoughts, she is willing to help travelers for a price.

Location

In the past Ma'habre, the Lady of moon can be found in Level 2 - Tombs of the Gods, in a chamber right above the remains of Alll-mer, down a long hallway to the right, leading to a pit filled with a green hue. She will appear when the player interacts with the green hue. The chamber itself is sealed and requires a Purifying talisman to be opened, or Phase step to bypass the door without unsealing it.

In the Ancient city, the present version of Ma'habre, she, along with the green hue, will no longer be present. All that is left is a seemingly bottomless pit, that will result in a game over if the player chooses the option to jump into it.

Strategy

The Lady of moon does not function as a regular hostile encounter and presents no danger to the player, therefore they should refrain from initiating any attacks against her.

If Moonless is at the party, she will start to growl and become threatening toward the Lady of moon. There will be an option to let Moonless loose on the creature or to restrain her and wait. If the player chooses to attack, she will plead with the player to stop fighting and will not retaliate. When defeated, she will descend back into the green hue and will never appear again.

Simply interact with her via Talk, and she will interact with the player via telepathy, similar to the Maneba. If asked if she can help, the Lady of moon says she can make the player "whole again": heal the player and all party members, including the removal of all status ailments, and full restoration of Body, Mind, and missing limbs. However, she requires a 'gift' in return, as one cannot gain something without sacrificing something. When asked what she wants as a 'gift', if the girl is at the party, the player can choose to part with her or not.

If choosing to part with her, the player can choose words to try and soothe the girl before the Lady of moon takes her to the green hue, right before fully soothing the player and their remaining party; both will never be seen again in the game. If choosing not to sacrifice the girl, or the girl is not in the party, the Lady of moon will descend back down into the green hue and is never seen again.
